The haiku poem you read above is the core of the short animation film that we took part in, "Scream For Ice". And the narrative form of "Scream For Ice" is based on the traditional Japanese art of poetry, Haiku.

 

Scream For Ice has won 10 awards, 6 honorable mentions, and has been chosen for 76 official selections at film festivals all around the world.

Scream for Ice is a short animated film directed by Emir Aytemür, with Efe Okay serving as Animation Director. Concept design and animation were handled by Motionmatik, with illustration by Kutay Can Doğan and sound design by Burak Çambel. The project sits outside the world of commercial animation — a creative, independently produced work that showcases Efe's ability to operate at a directorial level on character-driven, narrative animation.
